Classroom 42

Classroom 42 provides online learning resources to secondary school teachers and pupils.

We offer innovative tools like Examinator, an AI tool that generates spec-aligned exam questions and gives instant feedback on pupils' exam responses. Our customisable Exam Builder tool allows for personalised exam preparation. Pupils and teachers can also access interactive quizzes, videos, and flashcards, all on one single platform.

From easy to use resources to top-tier AI-powered features, our mission is to drive down teacher workload and improve student outcomes across the world.

Classroom 42 originally started as The PE Classroom in 2018. To better serve all subjects across a school with a single platform and brand identity, Classroom 42 was created. In 2026, The PE Classroom was shut down and fully merged into Classroom 42.

Classroom 42 is operated by GCSE Classroom Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 13318939.

Our platform's name is a slight tongue-in-cheek reference to a certain, well-known sci-fi series. Whilst we don't believe to have every answer to the meaning of life, the universe, and everything, we like to think our platform helps teachers and students get that little bit closer! 🌌🤖

Absolutely! Through Exam Builder or Activity Generator, teachers can set work ahead of time for pupils to complete at home. Results and questions are collected in the Teacher Dashboard.

Whilst we can't guarantee that AI won't make any mistakes, feedback from our strong community of teachers is overwhelmingly positive.

Since we introduced Examinator in 2024, we have continually updated and improved the underpinning technology that powers AI feedback, ensuring it is spec-aligned, responsive, and accurate. Testing happens regularly, and features are constantly improved to ensure pupils' receive individualised, actionable feedback. For example, our Aim Higher and Simplify features help students access feedback at more appropriate levels.

Do try out our AI features through any of our sample courses and see what you think!

Purchases and subscriptions

Simply fill in a form on our membership page or contact us directly through support@classroom42.com with your purchase request. Once received, a member of the team will be in touch to organise payment via invoice to be passed onto your finance department.

Once you have agreed your membership and an invoice has been issued, we will be in touch via email to register all classes and teachers covered under your subscription. Normally, this takes no more than 30 minutes.

From 2027, we will able to onboard schools subscribed to our Whole School package through Wonde.

For any student or teacher name or login changes, or any amendments to the terms of your membership, please contact support@classroom42.com in the first instance.

Invoices are issued once a Classroom 42 membership has been agreed. We understand that school budgets are sometimes released at particular points in the academic year, so we may be able to agree a later payment due date.

This must be arranged with us in advance and confirmed in writing. Please contact support@classroom42.com before agreeing your membership if you need to discuss payment timings.

We recognise that specialist schools, alternative-provision settings and schools purchasing for a small number of pupils may not fit our standard membership structure. Likewise for teacher, parents or pupils purchasing subscriptions independently.

We may be able to offer an adjusted package based on size, intended use and number of pupils requiring access.

Please contact support@classroom42.com to discuss your requirements. Any adjusted pricing is considered individually and is not guaranteed.
